Enrichment is an important part of college life and is encouraged in all students.

As a college, we offer numerous trips, designed to enrich students both academically and personally. We have an annual trip to New York City in which students visit numerous attractions including the Empire State Building, Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Centre, Ground Zero and Broadway amongst others. We offer an annual skiing trip to the USA or Europe during February Half Term or Easter Break. Subjects also offer enrichment activities throughout the year so you may find yourself on a trip to the law courts (Law), Peat Rigg (Sport), a French Exchange (French), numerous stage shows and musicals (Drama) or a day out in Newcastle or Manchester (Geography) amongst many others.

We also actively encourage students to take up work placement enrichment in their non-contact time as this is an excellent way to gain crucial experience in fields you may be interested in working in which not only informs choices but also gives you an important edge when applying for university and jobs. Students take up placements at nurseries, primary schools, hospitals and law firms, to name a few.

We also have a successful football team that play in the local 6th Form College league. Alongside this, we have a fully equipped fitness suite, tennis courts and a 3G football pitch.
